EDP Students

The External Degree Program (EDP) is a program for juniors and seniors. Students with at least 60 college-level credits may apply. Many EDP students are adults returning to college after some time away from formal studies. Others come directly into EDP after finishing an associate's degree or having gained advanced standing through assessment of learning from life experience.

These adult learners range in age from 20 to 79, with an average age of 38. The majority study part-time while maintaining jobs ranging from logger to librarian, minister to manager, and chef to secretary. Most are married and share the challenges of balancing family time with school and job demands.
